Our Centre Bus

In 2019, Open Arms began our exclusive Bus Pick up and Drop Off Service to our families in Taree.

This bus service allows families with limited transport options the opportunity to access a high quality and family-centred early learning journey.

For a small fee each day (CCS subsidised), children are able to be collected from their home across the Taree Region.

Our bus is fitted with age appropriate car seats; ensuring the safety of

our children is the highest priority.

Our Commitment to Reconciliation

Open Arms strives to keep our commitment to our Reconciliation Action Plan and embedding Indigenous education into our daily program and practices.

Building connections with our local community and sharing close connections with our Indigenous families ensures that we always support our children to learn, understand and commit to a future of Reconciliation.

Healthy Eating
Approved Menu

We are proud that each OAEEC seasonal menu is approved by
Good for kids; Good for life.

Our service is able to cater to all dietary requirements for children.
Our menu evolves with the seasons and fresh produce available. Even our homegrown vegetables and fruits star in our healthy meals.
We encourage family input into all changes, recipes, dietary options and more.

Excursions

Open Arms  Taree ensures that our children are provided with ongoing excursions  to enrich their early years learning experience.

We enjoy our adventures to our local park, using our large green fields behind the centre, visiting Woolworths, attending local events, visiting our local schools and taking part in NAIDOC WEEK events.

Incursions

Offering incursions that supports or extends our children learning journey is a priority at Open Arms.

We offer many incursions throughout the year. These include road and pet safety, water safety, sports activities, performances, artists and so much more.

We love offering these opportunities and sharing in the children's joy as they learn new fun and exciting events. Incursions expose children to new scenarios and experiences that are of the upmost importance - especially those regarding safety issues. These experiences get their young minds working and learning about different problems and solutions!

Through incursions, we introduce our children to new cultures, histories and rich traditions. Building strong relationships with our local community to build on our RAP offers the children a strong understanding of our local culture and community.

Sports activities are always encouraged and provided for our children
