Incursions

Our all-inclusive fee offers our Open Arms Children the opportunity to experience many incursions throughout the year.

Our children often showcase interests or new 'explorations' through our play and learning opportunities. As early childhood educators, extending children's learning opportunities is at the forefront of our philosophy. We also ensure intentional teaching moments are offered to excite children and support their understanding of events and world missions. We enjoy being able to offer events, experiences and incursions to support these.

From backyard farm visits, to the mobile dairy, the dentist, indigenous performances, magician, reptile zoo, parents and grandparents visiting to cook with us, dance classes, acrobatics, multi-sports, book week, fundraising events and so much more… our Open Arms children always have a fun week to look forward too.

K4K Graduation

At Open Arms we believe in celebrating the big triumphs in a child's early education journey. And that includes graduating from our Open Arm's K4K program and beginning a new adventure - BIG SCHOOL!

In January we run our exclusive K4K Holiday program which includes fun excursions, exciting events, uniform showcase day, dresses and fun activities, lunchbox ordering and so much more.

In the last week of January, we also host our very special Graduation.

Bring tissues - because it is an emotional time for our families and educators too! Watching our OA children share songs, showcase their dances and most importantly - walk the red carpet.

An exclusive event to share our excitement with families as our next generation of Open Arms children are ready to embark their new adventure.

Excursions

At Open Arms, we love connecting with our local community.

We support local foundations such as JunctionWorks and Shining Stars Foundation, we visit local parks and play areas, enjoy educational programs, have fun at the local tennis courts and learn all about Indoor soccer. We are bound to have a week filled with fun, excitement and many learning opportunities.

Building relationships with local businesses and sharing their passion for sports with our Open Arms Children is very rewarding.

Inclusion

At Open Arms, we support children with all Abilities.

We believe in offering a supportive, well-rounded and child-led learning environment. We work closely with families to ensure each child is supported to reach their highest potential.

Open Arms has Inclusion Support available in all rooms which ensures children are supported to build relationships, gain confidence and learn at their own pace.

We also visit the Shine Shed each fortnight where our Inclusion Group participate in fun activities based on the EYLF and the goals our educators are supporting the children to achieve.

Meet Burra

Burra is a beloved part of the Open Arms Family.

He is cared for by Miss Michelle, Miss Jade and our Wombat's.

Burra enjoys his crickets and worms, visiting the backyard for a walk, playing with the children, dressing up on occasions and greeting our families during drop off and pick up!

Come and say HI! Burra loves a pat.
